Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Development (SMSC)
At St Luke’s, SMSC development is embedded throughout the curriculum and wider school life. Pupils are supported to grow spiritually and morally through:
- Religious Education and Celebration of the Word
- opportunities for prayer, reflection and celebration
- PSHE and RSHE lessons
- Circle time
- All are welcome
- assemblies linked to Gospel values
- engagement with the parish, local community and charitable activities
These experiences encourage pupils to develop empathy, tolerance and respect for people of different races, cultures and beliefs, reflecting our commitment to inclusion and social justice.
